Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), the wholly owned subsidiary of Honda Motor Company, Japan commenced its Indian Two-Wheeler operations in May 2001.Its emphasis on top notch quality, creativity and innovation and its dedication of prioritizing customer satisfaction played a key role for HMSI to take over the Indian two-wheeler market.

Today, it is one of the largest two-wheeler company in India with over 64 million happy customers.

HMSI began its production journey from its 1st plant in Manesar (Haryana) in 2001.With increasing demand and high popularity of its two-wheeler designs amongst the customers, HMSI took a giant leap in its production journey by opening its second plant in Tapukura (Rajasthan) in 2011.Within two years of inauguration of the 2nd plant, HMSI was all set to inaugurate its 3rd plant in Narasapura, Karnataka in 2013 following which the 4th plant took birth in Vithalpur ,Gujarat in the year 2014.

For Honda globally, road safety comes first. As Honda’s vision for the future, “Honda will strive for zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles globally by 2050”. Working towards the realization of Honda’s global safety vision, today HMSI’s road safety awareness initiative has spread to more than 8.5 million Indians. Its team of skilled safety instructors conduct daily programs at its 10 adopted traffic parks across India, 6 Safety Driving Education Centers (SDEC) and school, colleges & corporates across India. HMSI has initiated a drive to change mindset of kids and has also established IDTR with Government of Haryana for providing Riding / Driving training to 2 wheelers, 4 wheelers & Commercial vehicles in a scientifically developed track along with an Automated Driving Testing Track attached to it.
